Alternative Ways to Earn College Credit
Non-Traditional Credit
Mt. Hood Community College provides a number of ways a student may earn credit toward a degree or certificate in addition to classroom experience: Advanced Placement (AP) Program, Challenge, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and the College Now dual credit program. A maximum of 45 non-traditional credits can be applied toward an MHCC degree.
For AP, Challenge, CLEP and IB:
- A maximum of 45 credits of AP, Challenge, CLEP and IB can be applied toward a Mt. Hood Community College degree.
