The Student Help Desk is a computer help desk designed specifically for MHCC students. It is located inside the library, under the main stairs. You will recognize our staff by the Red Vests that we wear. We are open Monday - Friday, with limited services on the weekends.*

What is/How do I reset my Library PIN?
Your default Library PIN is based on the phone number we have on file.
- If you first registered for classes before April 2011 then your default Library PIN is the last four digits (XXXX) of your phone number.
- If you first registered for classes after March 2011 then your default Library PIN is your 10 digit phone number with dashes (XXX-XXX-XXXX).
If you are unable to login using either number please stop by (inside the library, under the main stairs), or email us: firstname.lastname@example.org (please include full name, MHCC ID#, and telephone number).
What is/How do I reset my MHCC Saints Email password?
By default your password is your six digit birthdate. If you changed your password and cannot remember please stop by (inside the library, under the main stairs) and we can reset it for you. Unused Saints Email accounts are deleted after 180 days.

What is/How do I reset my Portal (MyMHCC) password?
To reset your Portal password open the Portal homepage, enter your ID number and then click the "I forgot my password" link. A new randomly generated password will be emailed to you. If you recieve an error message, please stop by (inside the library, under the main stairs), or email us: email@example.com (please include full name, MHCC ID#, and telephone number)
Accepted File Formats
The print stations will accept documents in Word (*.doc or *.docx), PowerPoint (*.ppt or *.pptx), and PDF (*.pdf) formats. The PDF format is recommended. Software to convert documents/webpages into a PDF is installed on all library computers. To create a PDF:
- Click the print button
- Click "Save"
- Select where to save the document (usually your flash drive)
- Click "Save" again
- The finished PDF document will open automatically
For Microsoft Office documents you can also use this method (Office 2010 includes this functionality without instaling the Add-in).
How do I print?
Once you have the document on your flash drive:
- Insert a debit/credit/copy card into the front of the machine
- Plug your flash drive into the USB port
- Select the document
- Choose options
- Click print
- Click "Start Over" to print another document or "Done" to finish and eject your card
For color documents, use the machine in the library cafe.
What do I need in order to print?
Connect to the "MHCC_Student" access point and open a web browser. You should be redirected to a login page. Your username will be your six digit student ID, and your password will be set to your portal password (six digit birthdate if you have never changed).
Faculty/Staff can connect through the "MHCC-Faculty" Access point. Your employee email credentials are used to authenticate. For further information please query the MHCC IT department 503-491-7448.
