    President’s Cup

    For the second time in the past three seasons, the Mt. Hood Community College Saints have won the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) President’s Cup, which is awarded to institutions based on their academic performance. MHCC took the President’s Cup in the large school division, which is for colleges that offer eight or more sports.

    Coach Hawley begins his second year as the head coach and his efforts have not gone unnoticed as the Saints look to return to the NWAC Championship Tournament. Coach Hawley has instilled a culture of excellence built on the core values of strong academics, outstanding citizenship, excellent basketball skills and a work ethic that is unmatched.

    Doug Bowman begins his fourth season with the Saints in 2015-16 after taking over midway through the 2013-14 season. Coach Bowman along with is staff are working very hard to build the track and field program into one of the finest in the NWAC.

    The Saints have an outstanding tradition of success on the volleyball court along with high expectations of academic success as the primary focus. Coach Lissinna is committed to helping every student-athlete reach their athletic potential and fulfill their academic dreams.

    Facilities

    Mt. Hood Community College is home to some of the finest facilities of any college in the NWAC and also boasts better facilities than many of the four year schools in the Northwest.

    Northwest Athletic Conference

    The Saints participate in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). The NWAC is the parent organization for thirty-five (35) community colleges located in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The NWAC has a variety of administrative responsibilities including conference tournament management, eligibility, publications, rule enforcement and sports information.
