Steps to Transfer
- Consult with an academic adviser or counselor to begin educational planning
- Select a major and research schools with that major
- Adjust your educational plan to meet admission (and major) requirements at your intended transfer institution(s)
- Visit your chosen transfer institution(s), if at all possible
- Continue to meet with advisers/counselors (at both institutions, if possible) and determine if transfer agreements are available between schools
- Complete the application for admission to the transfer institution as early as possible
- Financial aid does not automatically transfer to another institution. Renew your FAFSA for the transfer institution and explore scholarships, etc.
- Contact housing office, clubs, etc. at the transfer institution for needed forms, applications, and deadlines
- Know the graduation requirements that will apply to you
