• I’m registered for classes... Now what?


  • If this is your first term at MHCC or you’ve been away from school for a long time, here are some general guidelines for making sure you are on track for success!

    Four or More Weeks Before Term Begins: Online: In Person:
    Check your Financial Aid on MyMHCC to make sure everything is complete MyMHCC Orientation Center
    If not using Financial Aid, set up a Student Installment Payment Note and/or pay your bill online MyMHCC Orientation Center or Business Office
    Make sure that all your contact info on MyMHCC is correct MyMHCC Orientation Center
    Two Weeks Before Term Begins: Online: In Person:
    Check the MHCC Bookstore website for textbooks
    Log in to your MHCC.edu email address. You’ll receive an email when it has been set up, after registering for classes. mhcc.edu/SaintsEmail Orientation Center or Library Student Help Desk
    Visit campus to make sure you know where your classes are located Schedule a tour: mhcc.edu/tour New Student Welcome Day (fall term only): mhcc.edu/welcomeday
    One Week Before Term Begins: Online: In Person:
    If any classes were waitlisted upon registration, check your schedules on MyMHCC for updates MyMHCC Registration Desk or Orientation Center
    Get student activity card Library or Student Union
    For public transportation, buy a discounted TriMet pass at the Bookstore Bookstore
    First Week of Term Online: In Person:
    Arrive early, especially if driving, and bring your printed schedule Campus maps: mhcc/CampusDirectionsMaps/ “Ask Me” tables, first 2 days of every term
    Attend EVERY class and be on time!
    Throughout the Term: Online: In Person:
    Visit the Learning Success Center to get ahead with help from tutors mhcc.edu/lsc Learning Success Center, third floor above Library
    Participate in FREE Success Series workshops mhcc.edu/lsc
    Visit the Library Reference Desk for help with research and library help mhcc.edu/library Library
    Near the Middle of the Term: Online: In Person:
    Make an appointment with your adviser to create an education plan, which will help you graduate on time and on budget! You should plan next term’s classes before registration begins in order to avoid full classes and wait lists. mhcc.edu/progadvisers
