• Schedule a Campus Tour of MHCC

  • Come check out the sites, the layout, the people, and the campus culture of MHCC’s Gresham Campus by taking a guided tour led by our Student Outreach and Recruitment (SOAR) leaders. Whether you know MHCC is where you want to be or you’re curious about seeing a college campus in person, campus tours are an easy and fun way to see the College in action.

    Winter 2017 Campus Tour Schedule, beginning JAN. 9, 2017 – MAR. 17, 2017:
    Mondays: 10 a.m., noon, and 3:30 p.m.
    Tuesdays: 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.
    Wednesdays: 10 a.m. and noon 
    Thursdays: 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.
    Fridays: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

    Campus Tour FAQs:

    Can I drop in for a campus tour or do I need to schedule it in advance?
    To guarantee that we’ll have a SOAR leader onsite available to greet you and show you the sites, we do ask that all campus tours be scheduled at least one week in advance. We recognize that there may be situations where a one-week notice isn’t doable. If that’s the case, we ask that you please call our SOAR Office directly at 503-491-7701 to schedule the campus tour.

    Do you offer campus tours on the weekends or evenings after 5 p.m.?
    Our campus tour times are currently limited to the weekdays and during regular service hours of the College, as a campus tour tends to be a bit dull when offices are closed and most students and staff aren’t present. On occasion, we do host campus visits in the evenings and weekends with special arrangements, but do not currently lead individual campus tours during these times. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    How long does a campus tour take?
    It’s up to you! If you want to see all of the sites, we ask that you plan for an hour. If you’re short on time, we will honor that and keep it to the length of time you’ve got available. If you just want to see a specific area, we can keep it at that… short and sweet.

    Can my parent(s), sibling(s), relatives, partner, friend, mentor, and/or pet join me on a campus tour?
    Bring along any and all, except for the pet. Sorry, no animals are allowed on campus with the exception of Assistance Animals.
    If driving by car, do I need to get a visitor’s parking pass?
    Parking is FREE at MHCC, so no parking pass required! Once you schedule a campus tour, you’ll receive an email confirmation that includes parking details.

    Campus Visit FAQs:

    Is a campus visit different than a campus tour?
    Campus visits are designed for groups and often include an MHCC 101 presentation or Q&A session prior to or following a campus tour. Details of a campus visit are dependent on group size, age range, and interests. Groups can request just a campus tour, but we still ask that such requests be made directly with our Student Recruitment staff rather than via our online campus tour request form. We also ask that campus visit requests be made at least 3 weeks in advance.

    Is there a minimum or maximum group size allowed for campus visits?
    There is no minimum group size requirement; however, we do ask that group sizes not exceed 60. For campus tours, we seek not to exceed 20 students per tour guide. If more than 60 students, please note it may require larger group tours per tour guide.

    What information should I provide when requesting a campus visit?
    When you contact our Student Recruitment staff to request a campus visit, please provide the following info (please note that if you aren’t sure of the details, just provide what you can):

    • Requested Date(s) and Times (arrival & departure)
    • Group Size
    • Age(s)/Grade(s) of Group
    • Special Interests (e.g., specific academic programs, services, or areas on campus to highlight)
    • Needed Accommodations
