Career Pathway Certificate of Completion
Catalog Year 2018-2019
Students completing this intermediate level certificate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the enhancement of websites using a variety of client-side, front-end tools. Completers will have enhanced knowledge and awareness of what makes a website
more attractive, how to generate more web traffic, how to write script for web pages, and how to design for data passage to server side database. Skills learned here include working with JavaScript, Python, and php; and exposure to database concepts
such as MS Access and MySQL. Students wishing to participate in this certificate must show proficiency equivalent to the skills described in the Digital Designer Career Pathway Certificate.
Program Outcomes
At the completion of this program, students should be able to:
- Design and implement basic scripting code to add interactive functionality to a Web page
- Design and implement a form to collect data and transmit it to a server or email
- Understand advances in Web technology especially in social networking and how future trend will affect client needs
