MHCC Aquatic Center Adds 2 Awesome Obstacle Courses
Posted: July 24, 2013
The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Aquatic Center recently added two new awesome inflatable pool toys that are providing kids and the young at heart with hours of fun and exercise.
The larger of the two toys, called Swing and Splash, offers an obstacle course of two rope swings and a bridge and measures 70 feet in length. The other inflatable, called Multi-Challenge, consists of a swing, a central pad with soft-sided posts and a slide.
“Kids of all ages will find these pool toys challenging and lots of fun,” says Donna Ryan, Aquatic Center coordinator. “It’s great to watch kids, teens and adults try to navigate the courses.”
Ryan adds that the big, colorful inflatable toys are an ideal way for the community to enjoy the indoor and outdoor swimming pools at MHCC. The toys are available during all open recreation swim sessions this summer, July 22 – Aug. 30. There are exclusion dates, however, due to the championship swim meet season. These dates are July 15-21, 25-28, and August 10, 17 and 23-25.
Open Swim Sessions
Open recreation swim sessions are Monday – Sunday, 1:30 - 4 p.m. and Monday – Friday, 7:30- 9:15 p.m. Fees are $3.75 for kids and $5 for adults.
