MHCC Track Closed for Resurfacing Aug. 5-24
Posted: July 31, 2013
The Mt. Hood Community College track will be closed Aug. 5 – 24 for resurfacing.
The resurfaced track will provide the college’s men’s and women’s track teams with a place to train and compete. It may also open up the possibility of MHCC attracting large events to the site, as it did many years ago.
In addition, the resurfaced track will provide MHCC students, employees and community members an excellent resource for their own personal health and fitness.
The cost of the project is $298,000 and is a combined effort of the college and Associated Student Government.
The track was last resurfaced nearly 20 years ago. Most tracks are resurfaced every six to eight years.
