Posted: October 28, 2013
Like many schools, hospitals and other organizations, Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) uses FlashAlert to notify people about emergencies such as late openings and campus closures, generally due to inclement weather.
You are encouraged to register for FlashAlert in order to receive emergency notices related to closures, late starts, etc. There is no cost to use this service and your information will remain confidential. Individuals may self-register and manage up to three home or office emails and/or cellphone text message addresses (standard text messaging rates apply). Instructions for registering or renewing your information are available by clicking here.
If you have registered for FlashAlert in the past, you need to renew and update your information annually.
The college utilizes multiple channels to communicate up-to-date messages regarding emergency closures or delayed openings. When inclement weather is predicted, or there are other issues that require a closure, please consult multiple communication channels to receive accurate information. Reliable sources include MHCC’s website and phone greeting, local television and radio broadcasts, local television and radio websites, as well as email and text messages from FlashAlert.
