MHCC's Kim Hyatt Wins Award from University of Oregon

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) administrator Kim Hyatt has been named the 2014 recipient of the Becky L. Sisley Award from the University of Oregon.
Hyatt has been the dean of Health, Physical Education, Athletics, Aquatics and Recreation at MHCC since 2010 and holds a doctorate in health promotion and health education.Her first master's degree is in health promotion and her second is in physical education.
The Becky L. Sisley Award was established to honor former women varsity athletes 20-25 years after their graduation from the University of Oregon who have excelled in their profession, been n active members in their communities and provided support to the university.
Hyatt has an impressive resume as a javelin thrower at Oregon, including All-American status all four years and multi-year finishes in the top ten in the NCAA Championships. In 1991 and '92, she helped the Oregon women win the Pac-12 Championship. She competed in two Olympic trials.
