Joint Announcement from the Full-Time Faculty Association and Mt. Hood Community College District Board: Contract Ratified

CONTRACT RATIFICATION -- Debbie Derr, MHCC president, Diane Noriega, MHCC District Board chair, Sara Williams, Full-Time Faculty Association (FTFA) president and Tambi Boyle, FTFA bargaining team chair.
The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) District Board of Education and members of the Full-Time Faculty Association (FTFA) have approved a new four-year agreement.
FTFA members ratified the contract February 12; the MHCC board ratified it Feb. 17. The four-year agreement back dates to September 2013 and will run through August 2017.
Diane Noriega, MHCC District board chair, said, “We are so pleased to have a contract with our full-time faculty. I want to express my appreciation for the enormous amount of work by all members of the bargaining teams. The new contract reflects all the give and take of both sides to reach a balanced, responsible and realistic outcome."
Tambi Boyle, chair of the FTFA bargaining team, said, “The association is relieved that an agreement has been successfully ratified by both parties. We are looking forward to refocusing our efforts on successfully working with our community to pass a long-overdue bond.”
