featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images

Attention Educators and Special Groups! The Planetarium Sky Theater offers live, customized, one-hour interactive programs to school and community groups and private parties on Fridays from October through April, 2013 (during daytime hours only). A $100 facility use fee is charged for each program. Maximum capacity in the Sky Theater is 70, and the Planetarium is wheelchair accessible.

Directions from Vancouver: Travel south on I-205 to I-84 east Drive east on I-84 to exit 17, Troutdale Turn right onto 257th Ave. at stoplight Continue on 257th Ave. through Stark St. MHCC is on the left just south of Stark St. End at 257th Ave./Kane Rd. |
From Portland: Drive east on I-84 to exit 17, Troutdale Turn right onto 257th Ave. at stoplight Continue on 257th Ave. through Stark St. MHCC is on the left just south of Stark St. End at 257th Ave./Kane Rd. |
Passenger Vehicle Drop Off Directions
Passenger vehicles turn left at 29th Street light into the MHCC campus, entrance “E.” After entering campus, turn right (south) on campus roadway and then turn left into roundabout after passing a fountain and flagpoles.
- Passenger vehicles may drop off passengers at the flagpoles.
- From the flagpole roundabout area, walk down the stairs to the main mall level.
- Turn left (north) and walk 25 meters to the entrance of the Planetarium on the left.
Passenger vehicle parking is free, all days, all times, no permit required.
Bus Drop Off Directions
Do not turn left after entering the campus nor stop on any interior road to drop off passengers.
- Turn right after entering campus. You will see a big cement fountain in the roundabout, where you may load and unload passengers.
- From the fountain roundabout, walk north about 100 meters on the main mall level to the entrance of the Planetarium (glass double doors beneath the Library).
Bus parking is in parking area “U” on the south end of campus off 17th Street. Do not park or stop buses on the campus road next to the College Theatre.
