A tradition spanning more than two decades, the Annual Regional High School Art Exhibit at Mt. Hood Community College celebrates the talent of high school artists from throughout the Gresham area.
This year’s exhibit art encompasses a range of mediums, including photography, ceramics, mixed media, painting and shoe design. Entries were evaluated for originality, technical skill, composition and the emergence of the artist’s personal vision.
MHCC faculty served as judges; they included sculpture instructor Nathan Orosco, painting instructor Matteo Neivert, and digital arts instructor Mary Girsch.
The MHCC Visual Arts High School Art Exhibit runs from April 10 – May 3 in the Visual Arts Gallery on the Gresham Campus. An opening reception will be held April 13, 6 – 8 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The MHCC Visual Arts Gallery is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The gallery is closed weekends and holidays.
