Preparing to graduate high school and thinking, “What’s next?” Decided it’s time to earn your GED? Interested in beginning a new career or taking classes for fun? Then come explore Mt. Hood Community College’s Gresham campus on Preview Day, held Thursday,
April 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
MHCC’s free Preview Day offers potential students the opportunity to visit the campus; meet with staff, faculty and students; and learn about student support services and programs. Preview Day is especially for students nearing the end of their high
school careers; students restarting their collegiate educations after being away from school for three or more years; and anyone interested in learning more about MHCC’s degrees, certificates and short-term training programs.
“If you’re curious about Mt. Hood Community College, you’ll want to attend Preview Day,” explained Jessica Ruiz, MHCC student recruitment coordinator. “You’ll have the chance to participate in workshops on applying to college, meet with MHCC instructors
and staff, and really familiarize yourself with the college. Family is invited too!”
Preview Day includes guided tours of the academic buildings and a panel discussion by students, faculty and staff on the new college student experience and the next steps you’ll need to get started.
“There’ll be students there from the Associated Student Government and other organizations on campus who you can meet with and learn more about MHCC from,” said Rebecca Rodas, MHCC student recruiter and adviser to the Student Outreach and Recruitment
Team. “Plus, you can enjoy a free lunch on us and have the chance to win great prizes!”
