Certain unique functions and College assignments do not clearly fall within the job specifications or load of any person. Therefore it is sometimes necessary to employ either resident or visiting faculty for a special assignment. In the event that full-time
employees are used to perform these functions, an FTE load adjustment may be made in their teaching responsibilities. This load factor is to be applied irrespective of other professional load factors. The president may approve exceptions to these
load guides.

2.1. Any combination of coaching release time and ILC loading will be determined by the dean of health, physical education, aquatics and recreational programs (HPEAAR) and approved by the
appropriate vice president. |

Specific Limitations and Guides
2.2.1. Assistant coaches will be assigned to sports as staff growth and needs indicate.
2.2.2. No instructor will be scheduled as head coach in more than one of the following varsity sports: basketball,
baseball, track.
2.2.3. Coaches must arrange load time with the appropriate academic dean.
2.2.4. No coach may compile more than 1 term FTE coaching hours annually.
