AR 2510: Participation in Local Decision-making

Mt. Hood Community College upholds participatory governance through its Council structure.

In addition, meetings of the Board of Education are held in accordance with board policy and promote participatory governance through the public comment period and scheduled reports from the following interest groups:

  • Associated Student Government
  • Classified Employee Association
  • Full-time Faculty Association
  • Part-time Faculty and Tutor Association
  • Oregon School Employee Association
  • Special presentations from the college or community stakeholders, by invitation

MHCC engages community members in an advisory capacity regarding institutional planning and program and curriculum development. At the President’s discretion, community members may be invited to serve on other advisory committees.
