    Brent Johnson - Infield/Assistant Coach

Coach Johnson joined the Saints in 2013 and has been a great addition to help continue the winning tradition here at MHCC. As the infield coach, Brent helps keep the foundation of the Saints defense strong and always in position to capture yet another Southern Region championship.

Originally from Dayton High School in Nevada, where Brent was a four-year letterman and all league infielder, Coach Johnson played his college ball at Feather River Community College (99-00). Immediately following his career at Feather River, he began his coaching career, starting as a private instructor with youth and high school players in the Reno Nevada area as a part of Bret's Baseball Academy. From 2004-2012, Coach Johnson coached a select team, the Reno Muckdogs, where in 2008, his team won a bronze medal at the AAU Junior Olympics. Many of Coach Johnson's former players and students have continued on to play at various levels of college and professional baseball around the country.

Ryan Miller - Pitching Coach/Assistant Coach

Coach Miller begins his second season with the Saints staff where he will serve as the pitching coach. Coach Miller is a Madison High School graduate, where he was an all-league pitcher. After pitching for the Wildcats of Linfield College, Miller immediately got into coaching high school baseball, which he has done for the past 19 years.

Miller most recently served as head coach at Gresham High School. He also was the head coach at Parkrose High School, Madison High School, Portland Christian High School, and David Douglas High School. His 2007 and 2008 Portland Christian teams won back-to-back State Championships, and he also won a State Championship as an assistant coach at Wilson High School in 2012. Coach Miller has been awarded multiple league Coach of the Year awards and in 2008 was voted State Coach of the Year. Several of Miller’s former players have gone on to play collegiate baseball and one player who went on to play in the Major Leagues.

Ryan and his wife Andrea have five children: Alexis (14), Rylee (13), Jaxon (11), Zac (11) and Dawson (1).
