    When will Fall term end?

The academic calendar remains the same for Fall term. The term is scheduled to end December 12.

With no in-person advising, is there a way for me to speak to an adviser online?

Yes. Advising is available via phone or Zoom meeting. To schedule an appointment by phone with an adviser, students should email advising.questions@mhcc.edu.

What if I don’t have internet access or a computer at home?

We understand that the pandemic has presented a challenging learning environment for a number of our students, but it’s crucial that we follow the Governor’s orders and practice social distancing at this time as the health and wellness of our students and their families is the most important thing to us.

There will be more flexibility for faculty to give Incompletes to students experiencing challenges surrounding the online platform later in the term.

    • Go to the Student Support Services Request Form
    • Fill out the form to the best of your ability

Will the library and computer labs be accessible as resources?

To access online library resources, please go to mhcc.edu/library. Online tutoring is also available in a variety of subjects. Go to mhcc.edu/avid for remote tutoring services.

Though most computer labs are not available at this time, the 1451 Computer Lab on the Gresham Campus is open (with strict safety measures in place)to current students Tue, Wed, and Sat. Helpful, friendly lab assistants and tutors are available to provide computer support.

I am worried about keeping afloat financially. Are there resources available to help students at this time?

    • MHCC Student Success Programs
    • COVID-19 Emergency Relief Resources for PDX
    • Oregon Unemployment Department COVID-19 FAQs
    • Coronavirus & Forbearance Info for Students, Parents, and Borrowers

If you need additional assistance with advising, registration or anything else, please submit a request for student support services.

If my clinical rotations are cancelled this term (which is 9 credits) will I receive or qualify for any financial aid?

Please contact financial aid if you expect any changes in your enrollment level.

Can I access the campus food pantry (Barney’s Pantry)?
Yes, Barney’s Pantry is available on a limited, by-appointment basis. Students should follow these steps to arrange a time to come to campus and pick up a box of food and supplies:

    • Fill out a Pantry Request Form
    • Complete our COVID-19 Questionnaire
    • Wait to hear from an MHCC staff member to arrange a day and time to come to campus and pick up your supplies.

Important Note: Physical distancing and masking are strongly recommended for all pantry pick-ups. A valid MHCC ID is required to access the campus food pantry.

You can also find a list of resources for food using the following link: Accessing Food During the COVID-19 Outbreak>

I am worried about paying rent/housing costs during this time. Are there resources available to me?
