    Campus:

    AVID - http://mhcc.edu/AVID/ - The goal of AVID is to make college more manageable. In AVID, students quickly make friends and learn their way around campus. They work with instructors who understand the challenges that many community college students face.

    Barney's Pantry - A food pantry supplied by the Associated Student Government support "students serving students." Located in the Student Union.

    Computer Labs - The purpose of the Computer Labs is to provide facilities and equipment in which MHCC students and faculty can develop computer skills and complete classroom assignments required for courses offered at MHCC.

    Disability Services - http://mhcc.edu/dso/ The Disability Services Office coordinates all auxiliary aids and services for persons with disabilities at Mt. Hood Community College. These services may include interpreters for deaf students, note taking assistance, readers, taping of textbooks, lab modification, etc.

    The Learning Success Center - http://mhcc.edu/lsc/ The Learning Success Center's goal is to support student learning and success while enrolled at Mt. Hood Community College.

    MHCC Library - The Mt. Hood Community College Libraries and Learning Resource Centers exist to meet the information needs of the students, staff, and the community. The Libraries offer computers for research use, high-speed Internet access, a wireless network, more than 65,000 books, more than 2,000 videos and DVDs, extensive print and online periodicals, and more than 60 research databases.

    Student Services HUB - http://mhcc.edu/HUB/ - The HUB guides students with the admissions process, registering for classes, and other tasks that help make college life a success.

    Resources for Undocumented Students - Undocumented students of all ethnicities and nationalities can find a safer environment and supportive community at MHCC. Whether you’re thinking about applying or already a student, there are various programs to help you transition and succeed.

    Transitions/Transiciones - http://mhcc.edu/Transitions/ - The Transitions/Transiciones program helps qualified individuals transition to college to gain the job skills that will lead to financial security and independence.

    TRIO - http://mhcc.edu/TRIO-SSS/ The goal of TRIO Student Support Services is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants and facilitate the process of transition from one level of higher education to the next. It is designed to provide academic and ancillary support to low-income students, first generation college students, and students with disabilities.

    Black Parent Initiative - Inspires and mobilizes Black parents to ensure their children achieve educational excellence.

    National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)  - Promotes social justice and opportunity for all people through education, empowerment, and engagement.

    Oregon Commission on Black Affairs - Oregon's Commission on Black Affairs was created to be a link between Oregon's African Americans, Blacks, and Oregon government.

    Elders in Action - To assure a vibrant community through the active involvement of older adults.

    The Freechild Project - Connects young people and adults to the tools, training, and technical assistance they need to create new roles for young people throughout society.

    Arab/Middle-Eastern/Muslim

    Arab American Cultural Center of Oregon - AACCO is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the heritage of Oregon's diverse Arab American community.

    Arab American Institute - The Arab American Institute (AAI) is a nonprofit organization committed to the civic and political empowerment of Americans of Arab descent. AAI represents the policy and community interests of Arab Americans throughout the U.S. through two primary focus areas: campaigns and elections, and policy formulation and research.

    Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) - Dedicated to empowering and enabling Arab-American individuals, families, and communities to lead informed, productive, culturally sensitive and fulfilling lives.

    Islamic Center of Portland - The goal and aim of the Islamic Center of Portland is to serve the Muslim community and to enlighten the seeker under Islam.

    Muslim Educational Trust - MET is dedicated to the betterment of our society, and strives to achieve its purpose through education, cooperation, networking, and programs which benefit Muslims and non-Muslims in the greater Portland, Oregon area.

    Asian/Pacific Islander

    API Chaya - The mission of the API Chaya is to organize communities; to educate, train, and offer technical assistance; and to provide comprehensive culturally relevant services on domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking to Asian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander community members, service providers, survivors, and their families.

    Portland Japanese American Citizen League - An organization whose mission is to secure and uphold the human and civil rights of Americans of Japanese ancestry and others and to promote and preserve the cultural heritage and values of Japanese Americans.

    Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc . - dedicated to promoting success for women in the trades through education, leadership and mentorship.

    General

    Coalition of Communities of Color - Addresses the socioeconomic disparities, institutional racism, and inequity of services experienced by our families, children, and communities. The Coalition organizes communities for collective action resulting in social change to obtain self-determination, wellness, justice, and prosperity.

    Commission on Black Affairs, Commission on Asian Affairs, and Commission on Hispanic Affairs - Seeks to implement and establish economic, social, legal, and political equality for Blacks, Asian American and Pacific Islanders, and Hispanics in Oregon.

    Diversity Central - Diversity Central is a business center for practicing effective diversity management and developing cultural intelligence.

    DiversityInc - A web resource dedicated to current diversity news, articles, and job announcement.

    Ethnic Heritage Council - The Ethnic Heritage Council's mission is to preserve and promote ethnic and cultural traditions, foster mutual understanding, enrich lives and celebrate our heritage.

    Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) - Assists refugees, immigrants, and multi-ethnic communities in the metro Portland area to be self-sufficient, healthy, and integrate into the community at large. Focuses on a variety of social and employment services.

    Intercultural Communication Institute - The Intercultural Communication Institute (ICI) offers resources for intercultural, cross-cultural, multicultural, international, diversity training, and education.

    Intercultural Development Research Institute - The Intercultural Development Research Institute is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to a constructivist definition of the field of intercultural communication and to support continuing and new research in intercultural development.

    Hispanic/Latino

    Centro Latino Americano - We are a bilingual, multicultural agency dedicated to the empowerment of the Latino community of Lane County by offering social services, access to community resources, and advocating for fair treatment.

    Hacienda Community Development Corporation - Develops affordable housing, healthy living, and economic development to build thriving communities in support of working Latino families and others in Oregon.

    Latino Network - Latino Network provides transformative opportunities, services, and advocacy for the education, leadership and civic engagement of our youth, families and communities.

    Oregon Commission on Hispanic Affairs - Works for the implementation of economic, social, legal, and political equality for Hispanics in Oregon.

    The Portland Hispanic Metro Chamber of Commerce - Provides a forum for the Hispanic business community to share ideas, concerns and successes.

    Indigenous/Native American

    Native American Rehabilitation Association - Provides education, physical and mental health services and substance abuse treatment that is culturally appropriate to American Indians, Alaska Natives and other vulnerable populations.

    Native American Youth & Family Center(NAYA) - Enhances the diverse strengths of Native American youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education.

    Oregon Native American Chamber of Commerce - We are dedicated to working with all members of the community to advance the educational and economic opportunities for Native Americans in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

    Portland Youth and Elders Council - Strengthens the quality of life for the Portland American Indian and Alaska Native community by encouraging local leadership, community development, and the practice of culture, values, and traditions.

    The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF) - An organization to create, promote and facilitate a culture of giving and to serve as a guardian of permanent funds available to safeguard the quality of Jewish communal life in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

    LGBTQ

    Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) - Works to ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Oregonians experience equality by building a broad and inclusive politically powerful movement, shifting public opinion, and achieving policy victories.

    Q Center - The center provides a safe space to support and celebrate LGBTQ diversity, equity, visibility and community building.

    Self Enhancement Inc. - Guides underserved African-American youth to realize their full potential. Works with schools, families and community organizations to provide opportunities for personal and academic success, bring hope to individual young people and enhance the quality of community life.

    The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) - promoting equal opportunity, economic power, independent living, and political participation for people with disabilities.

    Social Justice

    Oregon Action - Oregon Action is a broad-based, multi-racial community organization dedicated to economic justice.

    Alliance for a Just Society - The Alliance for a Just Society's mission is to execute regional and national campaigns and build strong state affiliate organizations and partnerships that address economic, racial, and social inequities.
