  • 2019 Saints Open

    Welcome to the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field season. We are looking forward to hosting the Saints Open and welcome you to attend. Equipped with a polyurethane Beynon track surface, Earl Klapstein Stadium is one of the purest track & field venues in the Pacific Northwest and is ready to elicit optimal performances from athletes of all calibers.

    DATE OF MEET - Saturday – March 9, 2019

    REGISTRATION - You will have until 8 p.m. on Wednesday – March 6 to register or edit athletes. You must register for this meet online at DirectAthletics.com (http://www.directathletics.com/). First time users may need to create an account before registering. Late entries will not be accepted.

    ENTRY FEE - All participants will be charged $25 for entry into the meet; or $200 per team and $400 for men’s and women’s combined. We will accept payment (cash or check) on the day of the meet or will welcome a check payment mailed previous to March 9.

    RESULTS - Results will be uploaded to DirectAthletics at the conclusion of the meet and can be emailed upon request (make sure you submit email information to meet management).
    FACILITIES - Please be prepared for late winter weather conditions. In addition, it is uncertain at this time whether athletes will have access to our indoor gym facilities so be prepared to warm-up, stretch and warm-down outside.
    Locker rooms and shower facilities will be made available but please bring your own towels and locks.
    SPIKES - Athletes may use spikes that are no larger than 7mm (1/4”) in length. High jumpers and javelin throwers may use a 9 mm (3/8”) or less spike. Spikes will be checked and the athlete must replace those not meeting the regulations.
    CHECK-IN - Coaches, please make sure you and your athletes are aware of the finalized event schedule (provided on the day of the meet). In addition, we will make every effort to remain on schedule but be aware of the flow of the meet as the schedule is only a tentative guideline (events may start before or after the time posted).

    • Field Events: Athletes competing in field events are to check in with the head official at the site of the event. The event will start at the time indicated on the schedule. All warm up efforts are to be completed prior to the start time.
    • Running Events: Athletes competing in running events are to check-in at the clerk of the course (located in the red & white clerk’s tent at the north end of the 100m strait). You must check in 30 minutes prior to the start of their event.
