  • The minimum estimated cost of attending MHCC for one academic year (9 months) is $22,000 as shown below:

    **Students are automatically enrolled in the program’s health insurance policy.

    This budget is only an estimate. Every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information for current tuition and fees, health insurance, student activities, special program costs, etc.

    This budget does not include Summer term, as it is optional. Additional costs will have to be added if student decides to live and/or study in Portland during Summer term.

    This budget does not include the cost of living for dependents of students. Add $3,000.00 per year for your spouse and $5,000.00 per year for each child.

    The total amount shown above must be demonstrated in an official bank statement as minimum funds available. There are only a few scholarships for international students at this institution (for more information, contact Nataly Paoli at nataly.paoli@mhcc.edu or 503-491-7230). Because of the small number of scholarships, students must be able to demonstrate available funds prior to being accepted at MHCC.

    IMPORTANT: CIS restricts student employment. You should not expect to supplement your income with employment during your program of study at MHCC. Please keep copies of this form and your financial documents to present at the U.S. Consulate for your visa interview and to the U.S. Immigration officers at your port of entry.
