• Jim Zordich is MHCC's 2020-21 Patron Saint Award Recipient

    Mt. Hood Community College congratulates Jim Zordich as the 2020-2021 recipient of the Patron Saint Award. This award is the highest honor given by MHCC to those who have demonstrated exceptional support of the college and its students through outstanding volunteerism and/or financial generosity.

    For many years, Jim has demonstrated unwavering commitment to MHCC, our students, and the value of a community college education. His many efforts include:

    • serving on the Board of Education for the past eight years
    • communicating the work of the Board to our community and beyond
    • supporting the Foundation’s various fundraising efforts
      • Jim and his wife Garie also serve as traditional sponsors of the annual auction, and have played a major role in the coordination, pick-up and delivery of auction items at the college.

    Jim has had a long-time connection with the college and campus. He can often be seen visiting with leadership in the President’s Office or interacting with students and staff while walking through the halls and gathering spaces. His unceasing volunteerism and dedicated time over the years has demonstrated a true commitment to MHCC, our mission and our student population.

    Jim joins a list of 67 Patron Saint recipients since the award was first presented in 1968.
