• MHCC Foundation Raising Funds to Provide Meals for Hungry Students

  • Every school year an estimated 3,400 students at Mt. Hood Community face food challenges. Students facing food insecurity are more likely to miss classes and suffer academically.

To help our students succeed, MHCC has partnered with the Oregon Food Bank to operate a food pantry on campus. The pantry provides canned goods, snacks, hygienic items and so much more

But the demand is more than the Pantry can meet.

Our goal is to raise additional funds toward providing more quick meals through Barney’s Pantry (the college’s food pantry).

Help us raise; $6,810 to cover one quick meal for each of these students, or
      $13,620 covers two quick meals
      $20,430 covers three quick meals

The first $10,000 donated will be matched thanks to an effort by the MHCC Foundation and college president, Dr. Lisa Skari.
