Medical Benefits Specialist Certificate
The Medical Benefits Specialist program prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills required to provide current and accurate information to patients about health plans (commercial, state, and federal). This worker will understand how the details of health plans impact a patient's ability to receive care and will be able to effectively communicate to patients what their financial obligations are. This Medical Benefits Specialist works to educate the patient on how they can advocate for themselves regarding their health plan in order to maximize their medical insurance benefits.
