Most campus buildings and facilities are accessible to students, employees, guests and visitors during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and designated hours during the evening, on weekends and during special events. During other times, all exterior doors and buildings are locked and only employees
and authorized students are admitted. Entry to rooms and buildings by authorized persons outside of normal business hours is possible by using an issued key or electronic access card, or by calling Public Safety. Keys and access cards are issued through the Facilities department
upon approval by the appropriate administrator. Employees without an issued key or electronic access card need to present a valid MHCC employee photo ID to Public Safety for access to secured rooms, unless the person is known as a current employee to the officer. Students need
prior clearance authorization from a designated MHCC employee sent to Public Safety and present an MHCC activity card or legal government issued photo ID for access to secured rooms.
