The Business Startup Basics course is tailored for aspiring business owners who want to ensure they are on the right track. In this comprehensive two-hour session, you will:

• Test the Feasibility of Your Idea: Learn how to assess your business concept's potential before committing significant resources. This step is crucial in determining whether your idea has what it takes to thrive in the market.
• Understand Legal Business Structures: Explore the pros and cons of different business structures, such as sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, and corporation. This knowledge will help you choose the best legal framework for your business, ensuring compliance and protecting your assets.
• Steps to Formalize Your Business: Learn how to turn your idea into a formal business entity. From registering your business name to obtaining the required licenses and permits, we'll guide you through the process to ensure you're operating legally.
• The Importance of Business Plans: A well-crafted business plan is your roadmap to success. You'll learn how to create a business plan that outlines your goals, strategies, and financial projections, setting the foundation for your business's growth and sustainability.

This class has multiple dates available to attend—Oct. 2, Nov. 6, or Dec. 4. Each class is 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and registration costs $25. These classes are in person at the SBDC office.

There is also a version of this class being offered for Spanish speakers. You can attend the Spanish version of this class on Oct. 10, Nov. 14, or Dec. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registration costs $25, and these classes are held in person at the SBDC office.
