    Take these steps to get ready to apply for MHCC scholarships!

    1. Apply for Admission to Mt. Hood Community College (new students): The application is free and does not commit you to coming to MHCC. After you complete the application, you'll receive an email with your student ID number.
    2. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Note: You must complete your FAFSA to be considered for need based scholarships.

    Who can apply?
    Any MHCC student, or any student who has applied for admission to MHCC.
    When will the 2017/18 application open?
    Our regular application cycle will open during winter quarter (Typically February 1st and will close at the end of spring break)
    "I don't have time"...
    We know you are busy, but applying is worth it. If you spend two hours total on your application and are awarded a $1,000 scholarship, then you just earned $500 per hour for your effort!
    I heard scholarships can mess up my financial aid…
    The financial aid office reviews students with financial aid award packages if they are awarded a scholarship. They make sure that if you receive a scholarship, it will not negatively affect your existing aid. Specifics can only be determined if you actually receive a scholarship.
