Cost of Attendance

The cost of attendance (COA) is the estimated total cost of attending college. This may also be called a budget. This includes direct costs that the college will charge you, like tuition and fees, as well as indirect costs that you will have when attending school, like transportation and housing. MHCC must set our COA every year and it is used to determine your financial aid package, which cannot go over your COA for the year.

The numbers below are MHCC’s standard COA for the current school year. For most students, this is high enough that we will be able to award all the aid they are eligible for. However, you may request an increase if you have high expenses related to dependent care, disability, or travel, or for the cost of a computer. See our budget increase request form for more details and contact the office of financial aid with any questions.
