Elementary School Teachers
As an elementary school teacher, you will teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills. You will also provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
Teaching Assistants, Elementary, Middle and Secondary School
As a teacher’s assistant, you will perform tasks such as assisting librarians in school libraries and attending staff meetings and serving on school committees.
Education Administrators, Kindergarten through Secondary
As an education administrator, you will guide students regarding personal, academic, vocational, or behavioral issues and coordinate activities of teachers, administrators, and support staff at schools, public agencies, and institutions.
Middle School Teachers, Except Special and Career/Technical Education
As a middle school teacher, you will need to establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students. You will also prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools.
Secondary School Teachers, Except Special and Career/Technical Education
In this role, you will adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests and maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Instructional Coordinators
As an instructional coordinator, you will advise and teach students and recommend, order, or authorize the purchase of instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and visual aids designed to meet student educational needs and district standards.
