Professional Theatre Technician Degree - After Graduation

Set and Exhibit Designers

As a Set or Exhibit Designer, you will develop set designs based on scripts, budgets, research information, and available locations. You will also prepare rough drafts and scale working drawings of sets, including floor plans, scenery, and properties to be constructed.

Art, Drama, and Music Teachers, Postsecondary

You will prepare students for performances, exams, or assessments in this role and initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.

Costume Attendants

As a Costume Attendant, you will create worksheets for dressing lists, show notes, or costume checks. You will also provide dressing assistance to cast members or assign cast dressers to assist specific cast members with costume changes.

Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance

In these roles, attention to detail is key. You will duplicate work precisely to replicate characters' appearances on a daily basis and select desired makeup shades from stock, or mix oil, grease, and coloring to achieve specific color effects.

General and Operations Managers

In this role, you will prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties. You will also monitor suppliers to ensure they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.

Secondary School Teachers, Except Special and Career/Technical Education

You must adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. You must also maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
