Study Abroad

  • Mt. Hood Community College has been one among the top ten community colleges in the nation for several years in terms of the number of students we send abroad to study. We currently offer several high quality study abroad programs. All study abroad programs at Mt. Hood Community College are open to people of all ages. One needn't have been a student previous to enrolling in one of our study abroad programs, but the student must produce evidence that they have sound study skills and have at least a 2.5 GPA from previous academic experiences.

The recommended minimum age for enrollment is 18, but students who are 17 or will turn 17 during the program may petition for admission.

  • Kyoto Japan

    Learn Japanese in Kyoto, Japan

This program is a perennial favorite among students. Spend your mornings taking Japanese; spend your afternoons practicing Japanese with Japanese university students and seeing famous sites in and around the ancient city of Kyoto.
