MHCC is located in the Pacific Northwest in the shadow of Mt. Hood. It is a college of more than 18,000 students and more than 1,000 dedicated employees, with a service area that spans urban and rural communities.

Founded in 1966, the college serves students, local businesses, and the community in the Portland, Oregon area. Serving one of the most culturally and economically diverse areas in the state of Oregon, the college is looked to as a pillar of the community for affordability, student success, innovation, and financial stewardship.  

Offering more than 100 professional and technical programs, as well as many transfer possibilities, MHCC prepares students for the jobs of the present and the future. MHCC’s child development and family support (CDFS) programs serve families in East Portland by providing preschool and childcare programs, home visits, and support for parents.

Location

Classes and programs are offered at three sitesthe main Gresham Campus, the Bruning Center, and the Maywood Park Center, as well as at more than a dozen satellite sites throughout the district.
