During non-business hours access to all college facilities is by key or key card, if issued, or by admittance via a public safety officer. In the case of periods of extended closing, the college will admit only those with prior written approval to all facilities.

College public safety personnel are responsible for controlling public access to all campus locations and will regulate public access in accordance with the following:

  • All campus locations will be open during regularly scheduled class hours and approved special events.
  • All campus locations will be closed from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each day.
  • All college buildings will be closed on legal holidays except for approved special events.
  • All campus locations may be closed for inclement weather or other emergency situations.
  • Juveniles under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless the juvenile is attending approved activities or enrolled in classes that have been properly scheduled or have been invited to attend by the college.
  • The use of skate boards, roller skates, in-line skates, go-carts, and unlicensed motor vehicles are prohibited at all times in all areas at all college locations.
  • The riding of bicycles is restricted to paved roads. Bicycles must be walked on any sidewalks in any area where they are a hazard to pedestrian traffic. Bicycles are not allowed inside buildings unless approved by the area manager.

  • Is in violation of college policies and regulations;
  • Is engaged in any act that could represent a safety or security concern to the college;
