AR 5610: Voter Registration
In a good faith effort, Mt. Hood Community College shall provide voter registration information to each student enrolled in a degree or certificate program and physically in attendance at the institution. These efforts to distribute information include:
- A good faith effort to distribute a mail voter registration form to each student enrolled in a degree or certificate program and physically in attendance at the institution.
- A direct link to the secretary of state’s online voter registration tool shall be placed on the school’s website or The Associated Students of Mt. Hood Community College (ASMHCC) webpage.
- Give ASMHCC (at their request) an opportunity to provide nonpartisan voter registration services:
- As part of student orientation programs held by the school’s administration.
- As part of campus welcome events that occur before classes begin each academic term.
- Provide ASMHCC (at their request) with an official class schedule and a list of professional contact information for school faculty, which may be used for the purpose of seeking faculty approval for the student association to provide nonpartisan voter registration classroom presentations.
- Provide individual students and student groups the opportunity to provide nonpartisan voter registration services throughout the academic term in any non-reserved public space on the school’s property, provided that the nonpartisan voter registration services conform to the rules of conduct and rules for reserving space at the school.
