Portland Highland Games Return to Mt. Hood Community College

Mt. Hood Community College is thrilled to announce the return of the Portland Highland Games to our campus on July 20, 2024. For more than 60 years, this beloved event has brought the community together to celebrate Scottish culture with a day full of exciting activities and performances.

The Portland Highland Games offer a unique and immersive Scottish experience, featuring incredible Scottish pipe bands, bagpipers, drummers, dancers, fiddlers, and heavy athletics. Visitors can explore Scottish clan tents, delve into their Scottish heritage, and possibly discover a bit of Scottish ancestry.

In addition to the vibrant cultural displays, attendees can shop for regional Scottish products and gifts, and enjoy delicious food and beverages – including beer. The festival promises a full day of entertainment and cultural enrichment. 

“We are excited to host the Portland Highland Games again at Mt. Hood Community College,” said MHCC President Dr. Lisa Skari. “This event brings a fun and enriching cultural experience to our community, and we are proud to provide a venue where people can come together to celebrate and learn about Scottish heritage.”
