Planetarium Sky Theatre

Welcome to the MHCC Planetarium!

2024-2025 Planetarium Schedule

Shows will be on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Showtimes are at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Doors open 15 minutes early. Tickets will be available at the door. Cash and cards are accepted. Upcoming shows include:

• Stellar Swan Songs: Supernovae to Blackholes
• Finding Extraterrestrial Life: Using AI as a tool in our search

MHCC Planetarium Location

We're located on the Gresham Campus, Room AC1305, in Building 13. That's directly across the main mall, past the flagpole roundabout area with the fountain.

Passenger Drop-off

• Passenger vehicle drop-off: We recommend you use entrance "E" from the 29th Street light, and then drop off passengers at the flagpole roundabout area.
• Bus drop-off: Busses must use entrance "D" south of 29th Street. Please drop off bus passengers at the flagpole roundabout area.

Planetarium Parking

• Passenger-vehicle parking is free, all days, all times, no permit required.
• Bus parking is in parking area “U” on the south end of campus off 17th Street. Please do not park or stop buses on the campus road next to the College Theatre.

MHCC Planetarium Programs for Educators and Community Groups

The Planetarium Sky Theater has live programs for school and community groups and private parties. You can request shows for Mondays from October through June. Shows are only available during daytime hours. There is a $100 facility-use fee for each program. The theatre can hold up to 70 people, and it is wheelchair accessible.
