Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
As a nursing assistant, you will work under the direction of a nurse and provide care to patients in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Certified nursing assistants help perform activities of daily living including eating, dressing, bathing, and helping patients get out of bed.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
As an EMT, you will assess the extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize emergency medical procedures in the community. You will work in the field, responding to emergencies in an ambulance or fire truck to address urgent medical needs.
Sterile Processing Technicians
If you choose to become a sterile processing technician, your daily tasks will include sterilizing and distributing surgical instrument and medical equipment. This also includes recording sterilizer test results.
Medical Intake Specialist
As a medical intake specialist, you will greet patients, answer phone calls, and complete administrative tasks in a medical facility. You may also work with patients to confirm their insurance and schedule appointments.
