In Mt. Hood Community College's graphic design program, you can earn a degree in graphic design or a graphic design digital assistant certificate. You will learn how to design, compose, draw, illustrate, layout pages, and design for the web, new media, and advertising.

Program Details

While working in our graphic design program you will learn the skills, tools, and processes required for working in the creative field. This includes working in our high-tech Mac labs using the latest Adobe software, production tools, and color printers. This will help prepare you for a rewarding career in graphic design.

Your future

With a degree in graphic design, you can create images, words, fonts, and even motion graphics to create designs for all kinds of projects - from websites to print ads. with your graphic design digital assistant certificate, you will be prepared to work in entry-level positions as a production artist.

How To Get Started

The graphic design program begins during the fall term. Are you starting classes in another term? Don't worry! There still may be courses you can start taking if you're starting college in a different term. Please contact the program advisors for details. Any student admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
