Gas Metal and Flux Cored Arc Welder Certificate
This program teaches you about gas metal and flux-cored arc welding. This is a semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process. Through the program, you can earn a certificate with credits that count toward your integrated metals Associate of Applied Science degree. Once complete, you’ll be ready to test for certification under American Welding Society standards. After being certified, you can land a job as a certified welder or get promoted to a better role where you already work.
The Experience
Program Details
Your gas metal and flux-cored arc welder certificate will teach you all about this semi-automatic or automatic arc welding process. You will learn about safety and how to make items that meet American Welding Society (AWS) rules. You’ll also learn to work with carbon steel and aluminum.

This certificate will give you the skills to start a career as an entry-level welder while also earning credits toward your integrated metals associate degree.

You can start the gas metal and flux cored arc welder certificate program during any term. Students admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
