Industrial Automation Certificate
If you’re already working in industrial maintenance and want to gain skills in factory automation, then the industrial automation certificate from Mt. Hood Community College can help you get there. You will troubleshoot and program basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Fuji Automatic Numerical Control (FANUC) robots in our program.
The Experience
Program Details
If you are ready to take your career to the next level by gaining skills in factory automation this certificate program is for you. You will need to have knowledge of alternating current and direct current (AC/DC) electronics, electric motors, and sensors to complete this program.
Your future
Once you earn your certificate, you are ready for careers such as mechatronics engineer, robot technician, and more. You’ll also be prepared for further studies in Mechatronics if you want to pursue your degree.
How To Get Started
The industrial automation program begins during the fall term. Are you starting classes in another term? Don't worry! There still may be courses you can start taking if you're starting college in a different term. Please contact the program advisors for details. Any student admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
