Physics is the base of all natural sciences. By observing things like motion, light, electricity, gravity, and speed, you will learn to solve complex problems. The work of physicists is used in many fields including medicine, engineering, and even financial markets.
The Experience
Program Details
Your physics major at Mt. Hood Community College will prepare you to transfer to a university to complete your bachelor’s degree. You are encouraged to work with a university transfer advisor to ensure transferability of courses.
Your future
Once you earn your associate degree, you can easily transfer credits to complete your bachelor’s degree at another four-year university. MHCC works with many four-year colleges to make sure your credits can easily transfer for completion of your bachelor’s, including Eastern Oregon University, Oregon State University, Portland State University, Southern Oregon University, and University of Oregon.
How To Get Started
You can start the physics program during any term. Students admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
