General Admissions Application

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) has an open-entry general admission policy and welcomes all students who can benefit from instruction regardless of their educational background.

Upon successful submission of your admission application, you will receive an email confirmation from [email protected]. Your MHCC student ID number and registration information will be emailed within one - two business days. For faster response, provide your Social Security number or tax ID number on the application. Your student ID number and password will allow you to register for classes through the MyMHCC portal.

  • MHCC has an open-entry general admission policy and welcomes all students who can benefit from instruction regardless of their educational background. However, some programs have additional admission requirements. There are also special admission processes for international students and students who are under the age of 18.
  • Although providing your Social Security Number (SSN) is voluntary, it will be necessary for you to provide your SSN if applying for federal financial aid, tax credits and the MHCC Student Installment Note. The College will use the SSN for keeping records, doing research, reporting, extending credit, and collecting debts. The college will not use your number to make any decisions directly affecting you or any other person. Your SSN will not be given to the general public. If you choose not to provide your SSN, you will not be denied any rights as a student. Please refer to the Disclosure Statement which describes how your number will be used. Providing your SSN means that you consent to the use of your number in the manner described.
