Barney’s Food Pantry
Barney's Food Pantry at MHCC offers emergency food aid and essentials for student success. Barney's Pantry is a shopping style pantry. Come to the pantry, inside the Equity and Community Resource Center in room AC1261. You can shop for the items you need once per week. If you are at Maywood or Bruning and need a food box delivered to your campus, please fill out the food request form below.
Barney's Pantry is a shopping style pantry where you can come and shop for the things that you need. You MUST have a valid MHCC ID to use the pantry. MHCC ID's can be obtained from the library. We can still make you a premade food box but choosing what items you would like instead of us choosing for you is the best practice.
For students at the Maywood and Bruning campuses we will deliver food boxes on Wednesday mornings for you to pick up.
Other Food Resources
Barney's Food Pantry tries to meet the needs of all MHCC students, but many services near campus also can help to meet your basic needs.
State of Oregon - Food, Cash, Childcare, and Medical Benefits
The State of Oregon can help you access food, cash, childcare, and medical benefits through one application. The Oregon One Eligibility application, previously called SNAP, can be filled out on campus with help from state workers. They are on campus Tuesdays from 1pm to 4pm in the HUB. For addition information please contact [email protected]
Oregon Food Bank
The Oregon Food Bank is one of the primary partners for Barney's Food Pantry. They support pantries like ours around the state and can help you find one close to you.
Other Student Friendly Community Food Pantries
There are also many other community food pantries that happily help MHCC students access the food resources you need as you pursue your education.
