  • Passing the Torch: MHCC Men's Basketball Assistant Coach to Serve as New Head Coach


    Nathan Bowie, who has served as the assistant coach since 2016, will step into the head coach position when current head coach John Hawley retires at the end of the season. Hawley has coached basketball at MHCC since 2015. From 2016 to 2018, he oversaw both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. He came to the college with 30 years of experience coaching men’s and youth basketball in Oregon and Georgia.

    The red, white and black is back! The Saints of Track & Field and Cross Country are once again in stride to take a bite out of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). 



    The five-time NWAC Champions have a strong tradition of success in the classroom and on the field. Catch the Saints as they get ready to go after another NWAC crown!

    Fernando Fantroy and Kelly Holding begin their first year as co-head coaches after serving as assistant coaches this past year.  Both Fantroy and Holding have tremendous experience and success at various levels and are excited about the future of Mt. Hood Track and Field!



    The Saints have an outstanding tradition of success on the volleyball court along with high expectations of academic success as the primary focus. Coach Crivello is committed to helping every student-athlete reach their athletic potential and fulfill their academic dreams.


    Mt. Hood Community College is home to some of the finest facilities of any college in the NWAC and also boasts better facilities than many of the four year schools in the Northwest.

    Northwest Athletic Conference

    The Saints participate in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). The NWAC is the parent organization for thirty-six (36) community colleges located in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The NWAC has a variety of administrative responsibilities including conference tournament management, eligibility, publications, rule enforcement and sports information.
