Individual Mechanical Program of Repair Technicians (IMPORT)
The Individualized Mechanical Program of Repair Technicians (IMPORT) program allows you to study at Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) while gaining work experience training as a service technician for auto dealers and repair shops. Our auto shops have the most up-to-date training supplies and equipment available. The program is two full years of training.
The Experience
Program Details
When you complete the program, you earn an Associate of Applied Science degree. You also graduate with a full year of work experience in a dealer repair center such as Acura, BMW, Honda, Nissan, or Chevrolet. Cohorts begin in fall (even years) and summer (odd years).

When you graduate, you have the skills to be a valuable asset for dealers and shops in need of skilled service technicians.
How To Get Started
The IMPORT program is a limited-entry program. This means you must meet certain criteria before you can apply. The program admits 24 students fall term on even-numbered years and odd-numbered years in the summer term.

For the most part, you can complete courses that fulfill general education requirements in any term. You must complete all courses with a grade of "C" or better, and you must complete them within five years of starting the program.
