Early Childhood Education and Family Studies - How to Get Started

The early childhood education and family studies program begins during the fall term. Are you starting classes in another term? Don’t worry! There still may be courses you can start taking if you’re starting college in a different term. Please contact the program advisors for details. Any student admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met. Registration for the fall term is open from May through September.

Complete the MHCC Application Process

It is easy to get started at MHCC. Simply follow the steps in our new student checklist. These include filling out the admission form, figuring out how to pay for college through programs like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) or the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA), connecting with our staff to choose classes, and more.
