Political Scientists
As a political scientist, your daily tasks will include teaching political science and developing and testing theories using information from interviews, newspapers, periodicals, case law, historical papers, polls, or statistical sources.
Legislators
As a legislator, you will appoint nominees to leadership posts or approve such appointments and confer with colleagues to formulate positions and strategies on pending issues.
Labor Relations Specialists
As a labor relations specialist, you will present the position of the company or of the laborer during arbitration or other labor negotiations and draft contract proposals or counter-proposals for collective bargaining or other labor negotiations.
Climate Change Policy Analysts
As a climate change policy analyst, you analyze and distill climate-related research findings to inform legislators, regulatory agencies, or other stakeholders and make legislative recommendations related to climate change or environmental management based on climate change policies, principles, programs, practices, and processes.
Regulatory Affairs Specialists
As a regulatory affairs specialist, you are responsible for interpreting regulatory rules or rule changes and ensuring they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures. You will also determine the types of regulatory submissions or internal documentation required in situations such as proposed device changes or labeling changes.
Regulatory Affairs Managers
As a regulatory affairs manager, you will manage audits, regulatory agency inspections, or product recalls. You must maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, including proposed and final rules.
Political Science Teachers, Postsecondary
As a political science teacher, you will compile, administer, and grade examinations or assign this work to others. You will also prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
