Pearson VUE Testing

Mt. Hood Community College Testing Services is an authorized Pearson VUE testing center. Pre-registration is required. 

Register for a Pearson VUE test 

• Fees are collected when you register and schedule your appointment online. 
• Pearson VUE testing is offered Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. 

Distance Education Exams for Other Colleges and Universities 

Mt. Hood Community College Testing Services can proctor exams for students enrolled at other colleges and universities. 

• MHCC charges a non-refundable $28.50 test fee. 
• Please ask your school to email all testing instructions and materials to [email protected] prior to your testing appointment. 
• You must present a photo ID at the time of your test. 
• Cell phones, smartwatches, and other personal items are not allowed in the exam room. You will be provided with a locker to store these items while taking your exam. 
• Testing is available by appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.  
• Please email testing services or call 503-491-7591 to verify we can give your exam. You will then receive instructions on how to schedule and pay for your exam. 

Pesticide Licensing Exams for the Oregon Department of Agriculture 

MHCC provides pesticide applicator and consultant certification examinations for the State of Oregon. 

How to Schedule a Pesticide Licensing Exam 

Exams are available by appointment only and must be made 24 hours in advance. Testing is offered Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. 

There are two ways to schedule an appointment and pay for the test. 

• Call Metro Institute at 877-533-2900. 

• Visit the Oregon Department of Agriculture website. 

Please be prepared to pay the $58 test fee by credit or debit card when you schedule your appointment.

Multnomah County Adult Care Home – English Competency Testing 

Anyone who wants to be an adult care home operator or resident manager has to take an English competency test. Some caregivers might need to take it too. 

You will be taking a reading and listening test. Both are taken on a computer. It will take about 75 minutes per test.

Complete the MHCC general admission application 

Schedule and pay for your exam.  

You can schedule and pay for your exam online. Appointments are available on Mondays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. All tests are in-person at the Gresham Campus testing center. Please bring a photo ID.
